The owners Paola and Alberto renovated the whole property with passion and enthusiasm, safeguarding and enhancing to the old stone walls and the vaulted ceiling.

The rooms were restructured with respect to local traditions and now offer a cosy and warm environment, which reminds old times and creates a poetic and romantic atmosphere.

SARZANA

Sarzana is a small town with a great past. In fact, it has always been a crossroads between Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.

It has always been an important agricultural, trade and strategic centre, but during the Middle Age, it became a relevant religious and legal centre, hosting the bishop and the tribunal.

Majestic palaces, squares and monuments are surrounded by the narrow streets of the historic centre, where antique and artisan workshops mushroom.

All year long, the town offers several important cultural events, which are certainly worth a visit.

Soffitta nella Strada (Lofts in the street): An antique and vintage market, which takes place in summertime in the village's streets.

Calandriniana: a painting contest, where artists paint live in the centre's streets. The core of the event is in piazza Calandrini.

Napoleon Festival: historical commemorations, events on the history of Napoleon.

Festival della Mente (Festival of Mind): an event dedicated to creativity, development of ideas and creative processes. With the participation of Italian and foreign experts on the field of arts, literature, sciences and entertainment.

Festival Internazionale del Teatro di Strada (International festival of Road Theatre): theatre shows in the streets of the historic centre.

Fiera tradizionale delle nocciole (The fair of hazelnuts): with food stands.
